Warming Gels and Enhancement Creams
Sometimes lube is enough. Sometimes you want the feeling to change — warmer, cooler, brighter or a bit more “there.”
That’s what these gels and creams are for. They’re not magic and they’re not medicine. Used sparingly, they can make your sensual session feel more interesting and intense.
What they’re for
A warming gel is the one most people enjoy first. A thin layer, a little heat or tingle, and the skin pays attention. Cooling versions do the opposite. “Enhancement” on a box usually means the same idea: change the sensation on the surface.
Delay creams (usually sold for men) slightly dull sensation so things last longer. Easy to use too much. A pea-sized amount is plenty.
How they feel
Warming gels can be lovely — a slow bloom of heat rather than a shock. If it stings, you’ve used too much, or that formula isn’t for you. Wash it off. There’s no prize for pushing through.
They’re a nice extra with a body-safe toy or with a partner. They’re also fine on their own. You don’t need a reason.
How to use them
- A little. Then wait a moment.
- External use unless the label says otherwise.
- Patch test if you have sensitive skin.
- Don’t use on broken skin.
- If you use condoms, check the product is condom-safe.
- They are not necessarily a stand-in for lube when you need slip. Use both if you want both.
What they don’t do
They don’t fix a medical problem. They don’t replace talking to a GP. They don’t need to be on every order.
If you’re curious, a warming gel is the gentlest place to start.
